I need to catch up on posting the books I've read. I did not get nearly the reading done on our trip to China that I expected. That's okay. We were busy, busy, and very tired at night.
I did read The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whelan Turner again. I reviewed it for one of my book groups. It was even better reading the second time. Her writing is amazing, and I loved being in on all the twists and turns this time around.
I've included all the book jackets here because I think the artwork is beautiful.
If you're interested in reading my reviews from the first time I read them, here they are:
The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, The King of Attolia, A Conspiracy of Kings.

I loved the Thief and didn't realize there were three more...I'm excited to read them! In anticipation for a trip to Croatia I found a cute little gem of a book called Trophy Kid or How I Was Adopted By the Rich and Famous by Steve Atinsky. It's about a Croatian boy who is orphaned in the 1992 war and adopted by a Hollywood couple. Quick one-day read. Anyway, thought you might enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed _The Thief_ series and recommend it to many friends!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the Turner books. Those will be next on the request list. Also, I didn't know about the foot stuff. . .Zak needs some for trek.
