Star Sampler Quilt

The stars aligned for the fabrics in this quilt. I just love it, and love the rich colors. I used batiks and I couldn't be happier with the result.

I started this quilt prior to our move here to Salt Lake. It got packed up and put away early in the packing process. I finally pulled it out to finish it last spring. I procrastinated, knowing there were a lot of little pieces to cut. Much to my surprise, I had already cut all the fabric for the blocks. That upped my enthusiasm for finishing the quilt quickly. It was a pleasure to work on because I liked the fabrics so much. I finished it a couple of months ago. It was so pretty I sent it to my friend Valerie to quilt it. I got it back last night, and I can't stop looking at it. Now I've got to catch Ray in a great mood to see if he'll hang it above my stairs (which will require some real acrobatic skill on his part).
