Not my favorite book. There were elements that were good - the different points of view telling the story, some very witty and funny parts. However, the rest of it didn't make up for those parts. Why the vulgarity? It was offensive and not necessary.
I felt the ending was unsatisfactory. The story did not resolve at all. What a let down.
It was told from the point of view of an eight-year-old??? Come on. This guy apparently knows no eight-year-olds. And no parents or grandparents of eight-year-olds.
You're going to tell me a 102-year-old man can walk for hours all over New York City? Every week? When he hasn't left his apartment for years before that?
In short, there were too many areas to suspend belief in a story that was supposed to be believable. Don't waste your time.
