A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley

This is the third Flavia de Luce Novel.  They're fun and diverting.

Flavia is incredibly precocious for an eleven year old, but suspend belief about that and the books are very enjoyable. Personally I have no problem suspending my belief in that regard.

  1. Flavia is going to stay 11 forever, don't you just know it? The first two books were lots of fun. I listened to them on cd in the car, and have to say the narrator's voice is terribly affected, but otherwise I enjoyed the books. I must look for this one now.

  4. I read the first two books a few weeks ago (on your recommendation) and I'm so excited because I just got an email from my library that they have the 3rd one waiting for me! I absolutely love Flavia.

I need to take my time on this one and savor it instead of racing through it - with the first two, I checked them out the week that Daniel was taking the boys to New Orleans for the BYU game, and I thought "oh, this will be perfect to save these for the weekend while Daniel's gone", and then I couldn't help it and I had finished them both before they even left.
