I liked the book by the end, but no matter how good the end, it doesn't make up for the miserable, never-ending beginning. 110 pages is much too long to torture myself into reading. The only reason I kept going is because so many people have told me they love the book, and it is worth wading through the first part of the book to get to the end. I'm not sure I agree.

I liked the book by the end, but no matter how good the end, it doesn't make up for the miserable, never-ending beginning. 110 pages is much too long to torture myself into reading.
